The first lesson is...character and conflict
Today was the first Sherborne Arts Link session at the Digby Hall - Kick Start Your Creative Writing. Wonderful participants and everyone ready to take on board character and conflict. The half hour spent finding out about each other and where everyone was with their writing was time well spent. Then it was down to the aspects needed for building a great character. Motivation, tags, protagonists, antagonists, minor characters and the all important arc - how the character changes at the end. Next week is theme.
